Garlic Mustard Pull & Wisconsin River Clean Up

second year garlic mustard plant

Saturday, April 20, 2013 @ 1p-4p,
Location: August Derleth Park, Water St., Sauk City

This year, we've aligned our event up with the Sauk County Earth Day Celebration.  We are one of many opportunities community members have to pitch in and do something good for the environment in the week leading up to the Earth Day Event at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County.

Meet us under the pavilion in August Derleth Park.  If you have them, bring your gloves.  We'll be pulling garlic mustard, picking up trash, and generally having a good time.

Last year it was very warm and the garlic mustard bloomed early.  That gave us a chance to find a 3' stand hidden in a corner of the park area.  We'll be going back there to work some more.

This year, it's still cold as we enter this story.  So, remember to dress in layers, and wear good working shoes!

We will provide snacks and water for you during the process. Groups are welcome.  Please give us a head's up so we have plenty of supplies to go around!
