Updating Our Mission Statement & Values

After much discussion and more than a few meetings & emails, we have arrived at an updated mission statement that we believe reflects both where our organization is today, and where we want to be in the future.

Our new mission statement is “To engage the common practice of good stewardship on the Wisconsin River watershed throughout the Sauk Prairie area for the benefit of the community and its natural resources.”

The values which support this statement are:

A healthy ecosystem,
Environmental sensitive development including wastewater and storm water management,
Education about the history, environment, safety and positive use of the river,
Accessibility to the river,
Partnership with local municipalities, and
Community and landowner stewardship.
