Hike & bird in a unique Black Oak floodplain forest along the Wisconsin River that is undergoing local restoration efforts to benefit not only birds, insects and other wildlife, but also the surrounding community.
This 3-hour, easy, hike will be lead by Susan Kenney and Gerry Clausen. Sue is an Adopt-a-River Bank volunteer who, along with Gerry, has been replacing invasive species (buckthorn, garlic mustard, etc.) with native plants in a segment of the riverbank just north of Ace Hardware.
Meet at the pavilion in August Derleth Park. Wear sturdy shoes!
