Everyone is welcome! There is something to do for everyone, whether you are an individual, family, or a civic group!  Here's how it works:

First, you check in with the volunteer under the pavilion, minors will need their parent's permission. All participants will be asked to sign a waiver form.  Pre-registering will help us!

Second, you pick up your supplies:  gloves (if you didn't bring your favorite pair!) and trash bags.

At this point, groups of volunteers will be shuttled over to the 'next' area where volunteers will be working. There may even be time for a cup of coffee while you're waiting for the shuttle to come.

Volunteers should remember:

• There is definitely poison ivy along the riverbank.
• There could be high water, since it's spring!
• There probably mud somewhere!
• Even though it's the middle of May, it could still be chilly out there!!
• Wear your grubbies and dress warm.
• Two types of Volunteers are required:
  • Individuals & groups to come the day of the event and clean up the river bank..
  • Individuals to help plan and work the event by:
  • calling businesses which supply us with the stuff we need to make the event successful.
  • contacting the folks who own the property we'll be working on and get their permission.
  • to work on the day of the event, with set up, check-in, picking up bags of trash, etc.
